So what exactly is this blog all about? Well, recently I’ve developed a horribly addictive habit of downloading random animes. I download animes based solely on the well-drawn characters, having absolutely no idea whatsoever what the anime is about, or who the voice behind the characters are. I have found many pretty awesome animes this way, so I thought I should make a this blog to share what I love with everyone!

This blog began it’s journey in 2007 and have been growing steadily in terms of entries ever since it started at the beginning of September, 2007. The decision to make it blog format was done in an effort to motivate myself to update often.

Anime Fantasy is aimed towards the anime loving crowd who likes to test before they buy a product. In this case, they want to know what’s in store in the anime before downloading it off some shady anime distributor and taking up their computer disc space. Instead of just giving out reviews and spoilers to readers, I decided that it would be good to make another blog connected to this one as an encyclopedia to help the readers familiarize themselves with the characters in the anime and just see what’s up. This also makes things easier. It allows you, the readers, to be able to differentiate which are reviews and which aren’t.

Regarding the reviews, summaries, synopsis, spoilers, ratings and whatever else…

I will provide a synopsis of the anime, just something short that doesn’t spoil the anime for you readers if you haven’t watched them yet. After that, we would go into the reviews and spoilers and you are welcome to either read or not read by clicking or not clicking on the link that would open the spoiler. Some pictures from the anime would be provided to give you an idea as to how the anime looks like in the series.

Please note that all reviews, spoilers, and ratings are not based on a wide population but by the author’s estimation. I, the author, am also one of the many viewers around the world and from my point of view, I post them here so that it gives you, the readers, a better understanding of the anime from a fellow otaku fan.

My name is Maia and I’m the creator of this here Anime Fantasy. Everything that you need and want to know about me and my anime watching habits can be seen through this blog of mine. So instead of talking about anime here, I’d like to introduce myself to you briefly about who I am outside of the World Wide Web (WWW).

I am an undergraduate living in Malaysia. At the moment, I am studying full time to be a Psychologist in the future. My hobby is writing (I hope and wish to be a novelist one day) as well as enjoying anime. You can say that this blog is actually the foundation to being a novelist in the future as well as to share my joy of anime to the rest of the world, be it Malaysians or people from all corners of the world and all walks of life. Before this, I have 2 other blogs as well, and they are still thriving as I write this.

My ultimate goal for Anime Fantasy is just to have loads of fun spreading anime. I review anime and occasionally some manga, perhaps I’ll even overanalyze too much, and flail about anything anime/manga or Japan-related that happens to strike my fancy. It’s all just random stuffs. I’m going to say upfront that I’m not going to be like those websites that updates on anime every second because I like going on my own pace. The other reason why not is due to the fact that I won’t be watching every anime.

I like some and I don’t like some. But hey, that’s just how it is for me. So just be prepared to see news snippets, anime fangirl rants, emo times, or just some kawaii pictures, and such. After all has been said and done, I’d just like to have fun writing about what I like and for all of you to read what you and I have in common, anime.

I do have other stuff that I do that aren’t writing and anime but those are food for thoughts for my other blogs. Sometimes, it’s just best not to over-complicate things too much or you’ll just lose track of the main goals.

Other than that, I’d just like to welcome you to Anime Fantasy. My fantasies are your fantasies, just in words. Have fun!
